Acupuncture
Acupuncture is an ancient practice used to treat a variety of conditions including acute and chronic pain, physical injury, addiction, as well as mental and emotional disturbances. Very thin needles are gently inserted into specific points along the body to achieve balance, encourage natural healing and restore health.
Cupping
Cupping is a type of therapy used in traditional Chinese medicine to stimulate energy flow and promote healing in the body. Special cups are placed on the skin and a vacuum seal is formed between the cup and skin. Cupping can be used to boost the immune system, support detoxification, improve digestion, promote relaxation, alleviate pain, as well as release tight muscles and fascia. Cups are left on the body anywhere from three to 10 minutes depending on the treatment. Oils can also be applied to the skin and the cups are slid along the surface creating a relaxing deep tissue massage.
Electrostimulation Acupuncture
Electrostimulation acupuncture is very similar to traditional acupuncture. In both treatments, very thin needles are inserted into specific points along the body to promote balance and natural healing. During electrostimulation acupuncture, electrical current is sent through the needles for a deeper acting therapy. The electrical frequency can be adjusted to meet the needs of different conditions. For example, after a stroke, electrostimulation acupuncture can be used to increase muscle tone. By contrast when muscles are overactive following injury or strain, this type of acupuncture can relax the muscle. Treatment is customizable to each condition with the overall goal of encouraging the body to heal.
Facial Rejuvenation Acupuncture
Facial rejuvenation acupuncture is a safe, non-toxic, natural alternative to Botox injections and other invasive cosmetic facial procedures. Special acupuncture needles are gently inserted into specific points on the face in order to promote blood flow and increase collagen production thereby reducing the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles. Facial acupuncture is also used to relax overactive muscles that are responsible for deep lines and wrinkles. For optimal results, initial treatment is 10 sessions divided over five weeks followed by a maintenance session every three to four months.
